There was a drama on Sunday in Bomariba ward, Kisii county as at only Sh3,000. Igonga administration police after being accused of selling his son to her client at only Sh3,000.
Speaking at the AP station, the officer in charge Ndiwa Mwaura said that the woman named Jane Moraa sold her 2 months-old-son at only Sh3,000.
"Her husband came to report the matter to us after villagers noticed that the child had gone missing. We rushed and arrested her for interrogation since an angry mob threatened to give her a beating for the missing baby. Her husband stays in Nairobi and was informed of the incident by his mother," said Ndiwa.
"As by the investigation we have done, the woman sold the child to Riana in Kisii county after she was directed to do so by a broker who is yet to be named. It is bsd for a mother to do such a thing but she will face the law accordingly," he added.
John Monyancha the father of the child said that he was shocked to learn about his missing child only to find that his wife sold the kid at Sh3,000.
"As a father, I am shocked at the news! If it was not my mother and other families relatives. I send her money every month only that I didn't know why she did that to an innocent child," he said.
Efforts to meet and speak with the client who bought the child never bore fruits since until late evening yesterday the police were looking for her.
