There was drama at the Uasin Gishu County Assembly on Tuesday after a group of youths tried for force their way into the assembly buildings with the intention of ejecting Huruma Ward Member of County Assembly Peter Chomba.

The youths were angered by what they claim the MCA was spreading falsehoods accusing the county government of ethnic profiling of hawkers in Eldoret town.

Assembly security officers had a hard time keeping the angered youths away from the Assembly. The MCA was not present during the incident.

"Here's the one going around claiming governor Mandago is profiling hawkers in Eldoret town yet that's not true," said one of the youths.

"We cannot allow someone tarnishing our governor's name through falsehoods," added another youth.

The youths further condemned recent utterances by Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri who asked the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to take actions against governor Mandago for ethnic profiling.
