[Photo/the-star]Drama was witnessed at the swearing in ceremony of Kakamega governor elect Wyclife Oparanya in Bhukhungu stadium, Monday, August 21.This is after the newly elected Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala arrived late at the venue of the function only to find no chair was reserved for him at the dias.An agitated Malala who demanded to be brought a seat in the first row or second row alongside Oparanya, decided to stand in front of the governor for about ten minutes thus blocking him from following the proceedings of the function.To avoid more drama, Kakamega County Commissioner Kangethe Thuku decided to offer his seat to the senator for the ceremony to commence.Malala was an MCA before taking over the senatorial seat from Bonny Khalwale who opted to vie for the governor post but lost to incumbent Oparanya in the recent August 8 polls.
