Drama ensued in Kiamwathi Karia Ward in Nyeri county after an uncle to the bridegroom stopped the ceremony over what he described as attempts by the presiding pastor to ignore the fact that the bridegroom had three surviving children with another woman.
The wedding between Pastor Henry Waweru and Sister Ann Waithira could not proceed after the man claiming to be an uncle to the bridegroom complained to the pastor who was conducting the ceremony at Kwanderi Primary school that the bridegroom had three children from a previous relationship who should also participate in the wedding and be recognised.
He told the congregation that the bridegroom had not included his children in the wedding celebrations and that he suspected they were hidden somewhere.
Following the man’s complaints, the children were later brought to the wedding ceremony after three hours and the ceremony continued.
The Residents and family members who attended the wedding were shocked after it was realised that the groom is a pastor at Bethel church in Kiamwathi.
The groom in another dramatical event is said to have sired three children with another woman in the same area.
It is also alleged that the three children of the bridegroom were not sired by the groom.
