There was drama at the Milimani law courts on Tuesday after National Youth Service (NYS) DirectorGeneral Richard Ndubai refused to be handcuffed.
Ndubai told off a police officer who tried to handcuff him when in he appeared alongside other suspects in the sh9 billion case.
The suspended DG was seen signaling his legal team and asking if being handcuffed was in accordance with the law.
Lawyers for the public officials protested a decision by the police to handcuff the male suspects while in court while shouting: "That's intimidation, who has sent you?"
Ndubai is being represented by lawyer Cliff Ombetta.
He is among suspects who are facing abuse of office and conspiracy to commit corruption charges regarding the Sh9 billion scandal.
