Drama unfolded in Makao estate, Nakuru East Friday morning after women ganged up with their neighbour and assaulted a woman accused of having an affair with her husband. According to Bob Mwaura, a caretaker at the residential quarter the scuffle began after the husband's wife, Monicah Wangeci, found the suspected clandestine, Mercy Atieno, wearing her husband’s jacket and T shirt. Mwaura said Wangeci, who has been in hospital since July after been involved in a road accident, has been receiving reports of his husband’s affair with Atieno from her neighbours. “She started investigating a few days after being discharged from hospital before coming to terms with the truth,” said Mwaura adding that Wangeci mobilised other women to rough up Atieno. Atieno is said to have later been frog marched to the nearest market centre where more women joined in beating her up while at the same time striping her off the clothes said to belong to Wangeci’s husband.
