Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia has warned head teachers and supervisors against opening examination papers before time.
Speaking on Monday when she inspected the opening of an examination container at Gilgil in deputy county commissioner’s office, Macharia said examinations should be gaurded.
“As the exams go on we want to warn head teachers to adhere to the regulations and no papers should be opened before stipulated time,” she said.
During the process, a school principal reportedly came to pick his school's exam while drunk.
Drama ensued as he was put to task over his state.
''I am not drunk as my colleagues are saying. I only woke up late and came hurriedly to pick the exam papers," he said.
However, it was evident that the principal was drunk as he struggled to control the power of alcohol over him.
Nakuru County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha ordered the school head to be arrested.
According to the TSC boss, the principal will have to face disciplinary action for misbehaving while on duty.
Another officer was assigned the exams to deliver to the principal's school as he was taken behind bars.
