A PSV matatu driver was on Tuesday arraigned at a Nakuru court and charged with assaulting a traffic police officer.
The accused, Paul Karanja, appeared before senior principal magistrate Liz Gicheha.
The prosecution said Karanja attacked and injured an officer identified as Patrick Kariuki on February 2 at KFA roundabout in Nakuru.
The court further heard that the accused obstructed the traffic police and his colleague as they were inspecting his vehicle and resisted arrest.
The accused denied the charges and was released on a Sh30,000 bond orSh10,000 cash bail.
Gicheha set the mentioning of the case to be today February 7.
