A driver and his turn-boy died on the spot after the lorry they were travelling overturned and landed in a ditch along the Molo-Keringet road.
According to witnesses, the lorry veered off the road, swayed several times before landing in the ditch.
The lorry driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle following brake failure.
“We rushed to the scene only to find the two had already died,” said Amos Kulei, a witness.
The accident affected traffic flow along the busy Molo-Keringet stretch as motorists looked for alternative routes to connect to the highway.
It came barely a day after three people died at the Sachang’wan accident black spot after their vehicle collided with a lorry.
According to the police, the search for the lorry driver is still on and members of the public have been asked to provide information that will lead to his arrest.
Rift Valley traffic police boss Mary Omari said the driver of the lorry vanished after the Saturday afternoon accident.
