Leaders and teachers from Kisii County have cautioned reckless drivers by advising them to be more careful to overcome accidents.

This comes after 8 people died on Friday night following a road accident at Kisii-Kilgorls road which involved three vehicles.

Speaking at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital during the visit to console survivors, Senator Chris Obure urged drivers to be more careful when driving so that they can curb the accidents which have been claiming many lives of people across the country.

“Am here to console with the survivors and the families who lost their relatives, I would like to urge our drivers to be more vigilant when driving so that they can curb this problem,” he said.

Teachers led by KNUT secretary Kisii Branch Albert Ondimu said that it is a blow to the country for losing 8 youths who were to transform the nation.

“We are in shock after finding that the grisly accident grasped our youths who were to transform this nation we stand with the families more so as teachers we are affected since one of the teachers lost her two daughters,” Ondimu said.

Eight people died and three were injured during the accident.
