Youths from Rift valley region have asked Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to drop his plan of vying for the Presidency in 2022 and support deputy President William Ruto.
The youths led by Amos Olempaka speaking in Eldoret on Monday said Moi should consider supporting DP Ruto who enjoys massive support from a majority of Kenyans.
"Moi is a good leader but should drop his presidential ambitions and support DP Ruto who has a great support compared to him,” said Olempaka.
The youths said rivalry between DP Ruto and the senator should end ahead of the 2022 elections.
They urged leaders from the region to unite and help DP Ruto clinch presidency in 2022.
“Ruto is fit from the community for the top seat in the country once President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his term. We are appealing to leaders from the region to unite and push for Ruto to be the next president of this nation,” Olempaka noted.
