The drama surrounding the misunderstanding between nominated MCA Margaret Kiiru and a section of elected MCAs and other County Assembly staff is gaining momentum with insiders from the assembly saying that MCAs have vowed to impeach her.
This comes amid allegations of gross misconduct, lack of cooperation and insubordination by a number of MCAs against Kiiru.
In a twist of events, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria has slammed the MCAs for trying the impossible saying that they better learn to stay with her or leave her alone.
Speaking in his office within Nakuru Town on Thursday, Gikaria noted that nominated MCAs are usually on a five year contract with their mother parties making it hard to terminate such agreements under unclear circumstances.
“Unless something really sensitive happens incapacitating her or she personally resigns, nothing can be done because she is a special member in the house,” he said.
Gikaria further asked the assembly to learn to put their house in order saying that such internal wrangles were an indication of something fishy within the ranks.
“Politics is funny, no politician wants to be told the truth and I think this is the problem with our County Assembly,” he noted.
Kiiru was left out of the recently concluded Mombasa trip where it is alleged that she was a subject of discussion, with majority of sitting MCAs openly expressing their discomfort with her presence in the assembly but in her defence, she remains adamant that she will unearth all the rot in the County Assembly if provoked.
