Speaking during an interview at Hot 96 FM on Wednesday, the Kikuyu lawmaker said that the governor was never serious when he nominated the self-starred NRM general to deputise him, adding that the Jubilee MCAs will never approve his nominee.

“I do not think, one, Sonko was serious when he brought Miguna. I'd not think Jubilee MCAs will ratify that decision by governor Sonko to bring in Miguna,” said the legislator.

He added that even though he has no influence in Nairobi politics, the MCAs should not approve Dr. Miguna Miguna as the Nairobi Deputy governor and allow the embattled Sonko to nominate somebody else who will help him manage the city.

“I have no vote, I have no influence at all in Nairobi but I would ask them not to ratify that nomination and allow the governor time to nominate somebody else; somebody else who will help him manage the city,” he concluded.

This comes after governor Sonko said that his choice is Miguna and he has no plan whatsoever, to change his mind.
