The top security personnel in the county have warned criminal gangs who have been terrorizing Kisauni residents, that their days are numbered.

Speaking during a security meeting on 8/3/2018, at Kandongo, County Commissioner Evans Achoki asked Kisauni residents to come forward and name those they suspect to be drug dealers and criminal gangs. He said that the fight to end drugs in the coast region should start by dealing with those responsible for supplying the hard substances to the people, before dealing with those using and abusing the substance.

"We must first deal with suppliers and sources of these narcotic drugs, and those who are still in the criminal gangs, we are coming for you" said Mr Achoki, the County Commissioner

The move by the County Commissioner, Mr. Achoki will be taking the footsteps once taken by former County Commissioner of Mombasa, Mr. Nelson Marwa, who tirelessly fought the drug dealers and criminal gangs in the coast region, which made him gain the fame he has now.

The county police commander Mr. Johnston Ipara, who was present in the security meeting, asked Kisauni residents to work hand in hand with the police, by offering any information and hints, that may lead to the arrest of the criminals.

One of the criminal gangs under the trail of the police is the machete-armed 'wakali kwanza'. The gang is said to be shifting its operations to Kwale County, where residents have started suffering in their hands.
