Addressing journalists in Nakuru yesterday, the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse chair who visited Nakuru central police station after the arrest of prime suspects over the weekend sent out a strong warning to those engaging in the business that their days are numbered.

He also warned police against colluding with drug peddlers.

“As of now, what I can reveal so as not to jeopardise the ongoing investigations is that police are following crucial leads that could see the arrest of a prominent Nakuru businessman said to be involved in the drug trade,” said Mututho.

He added that Nacada will soon be receiving specially trained dogs from Israel which will be used in the fight against drug trafficking.

Mututho called on members of the public to collaborate with the police in order to apprehend those selling drugs to students.
