Police in Nakuru have arrested two women suspected to be members of a drugging syndicate which target men in clubbing joints and stupefy them before robbing them.

The two suspects, Joyce Nyambura and Wanjiku, were arrested after they allegedly drugged a man at Nakuru’s White House estate.

The practise is known as ‘Kuwekewa mchele’ where revellers are targeted by women who first pose as potential sexual pleasure givers before ransacking their victims.

The two were arraigned in court on Wednesday and charged with drugging a client at a club at White House. The court ordered the two remanded until Monday.

The case comes a few days after a police officer was drugged at Kanu street by a sex worker. His gun and cash were stolen.

According to witnesses, the man started feeling 'unwell' and notified his friends where his condition was monitored through CCTV . The women were bust trying to fleece the man.
