The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has come up with a new set of punishment to met on rogue drivers.NTSA's Francis Meja said they are seeking to implement a new form of punishment for drunk drivers where they would be sent to work in morgues.Meja said this is meant to cut the country’s carelessness witnessed in roads.“We cannot have notorious drunk drivers causing accidents yet when they appear in court the penalty is very lenient. Once we have the new policy ready then we shall ensure it becomes law,” says Francis Meja.
Speaking in Naivasha last Sunday, Meja had warned drivers accusing many of being drunk while behind the wheel.
