National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has accused the Judiciary of interfering with the constitutional mandate of Parliament.
Duale expressed his dissatisfaction in the way the Judiciary was undermining the Standing Order of the august House citing the reinstatement of Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi in Parliament.
Wandayi was ejected from the House for whistling during President Uhuru Kenyatta's State of the Nation address in Parliament early this year.
High Court Judge Daniel Ogembo on Monday suspended the ruling by Speaker Justin Muturi.
"The Judiciary is failing to honour Parliament. We are here courtesy of our electorate and the Standing Orders of Parliament must be respected. We must work independent from the Judiciary and the Executive," said the agitated Garissa Township MP.
He also criticised the court for suspending the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF).
"No-one should wake up one morning and decide that the CDF kitty be done away with. It has been there for a long time and the projects started by the funds is evident. The court is seriously interfering with the operations of this House," added Duale.
On Monday, the court directed the National Treasury to suspend the disbursement of CDF money. The MPs have said they will move to the High Court to have the court order revoked.
