Majority Leader Aden Duale has alluded that the August 8 may not have been credible as it was marred by a number of mistakes.
In a letter published in The Standard newspaper, Duale defended by IEBC, stating that the commission is led by humans and they are prone to error.
“There may have been mistakes here and there in the process of transmitting results. The electoral commission is not infallible. Human is to error. Also, the electoral gadgets, however advanced they are, can experience hitches. Such shortcomings are not an exception to us,” the letter read in part.
Duale added that developed countries also faced similar challenges when it comes to elections.
He added that when such disputes arise questioning the authenticity of the results, the solution should be to scrutinize the ballot papers to ascertain whether or not spoilt votes and mistakes made by the electoral team.
The Garissa Township further faulted the Supreme Court for annulling the win of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The leader of majority accused the Court of giving Raila Odinga a political lifeline which he is tenuously clinging onto for political survival.
