National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has denied claims that Jubilee Party is at the brink of splitting.
Speaking Sunday when he disbursed constituency bursaries at Garissa High School, the Garissa lawmaker maintained that the political outfit is intact.
He added that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have no political differences as alleged.
"We have one president and a party leader whom all of us, starting from the deputy president to the lowest person, take orders from him and that is President Uhuru Kenyatta," said Duale.
The legislator was responding to allegations that the two leaders were not in good terms.
This comes after President Uhuru ordered all public officials to undergo lifestyle audit. A section of leaders allied to Ruto feel he is being targeted in the new move.
On his part, DP Ruto has maintained that there is no rift in Jubilee.
The second in command has said he will be the first to submit his documents for audit.
“William Ruto will be among the first to submit himself for a lifestyle audit. I can see the media already has done some work on me. I was expecting that the next day they would focus on someone else but it looks like it stopped on me. I thought the lifestyle audit was meant for everybody,” said Mr Ruto.
