Majority Leader Aden Duale has vowed to support the ongoing war on corruption that has rocked the country.
Speaking in parliament building on Tuesday, the vocal Jubilee MP said that as parliamentarians they are dedicated to the war against corruption and putting on the spotlight the looters of resources that they would be met by the full force of the law.
“The investigative authorities as established under the constitution have the mandate to go full swing and have those implicated in the graft face justice in court,” Mr Duale said adding; “Parliament will always endeavour to support this cause,” said MP.
The MP's pronouncement came on the heels of the arrest and the subsequent arraignment in a court of the Public Service and Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Ms Lillian Mbogo and National Youth Service Director- General Mr Richard Ndubai over the loss of 9 billion in the NYS service.
The duo was apprehended, among other issues, for colluding with unscrupulous companies to syphon millions of shillings from the department for services not rendered.
The Majority Leader has also urged the opposition factions to join the government in the war against corruption in a view to annihilating the scourge once and for all.
"It is also the cardinal responsibility of the opposition to support the president and his deputy as they purge corrupt elements from the system,” Mr Duale said.
