Garissa Township Member of Parliament and the National Assembly Majority boss Aden Duale has called upon Garissa County chief Hon Nathif Jama to urgently initiate talks with the county assembly members, in order to find lasting solutions to the countless challenges staring at the county.
Duale says the discontent between the Governor Jama and the County Assembly has paralysed operations in the county, citing the 2016/2017 budget estimates that is yet to be agreed upon and approved.
Garissa County has in the past two weeks been making headlines, a fact that has been attributed to wrangles in administration.
The most recent incident is where governor Jama sacked Environment and Energy CS just two weeks after transferring him from Finance docket.
It is also last week that three governors stormed the governor's office demanding that the appointment of deputy governor to head finance be revoked. The stalemate is expected to last for the next coming weeks if the county boss never does something to reverse the trend.
