[Garissa township MP Aden Duale with his supporters in Korakora area.] (Photo/star.co.ke]National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale has urged all the communities in Garissa County to turn up massively and cast their votes as a block come August 8 to ensure he retains his seat.
Duale who expressed confidence that Garissa voters will elect him sent a warning to his rivals who are eying the Garissa Township seat come the next polls to prepare for a resounding defeat.
He said that although opinion polls indicated that he was leading by a good margin, he still needed his supports to turn out in large numbers to ensure that Farah Maalim loses by a big margin.
The Garissa Township MP said that his supporters come from all communities residing in Garissa while his opponents were relying on a few votes from their respective clans.
Mr Duale was addressing hundreds of his supporters in several stop overs in Bula Game, Jarirot and Korakora in Garissa County.
“We all need to know that it is not yet over until it is over. It is my humble request that you kindly spare some time and go to your respective polling station and cast your vote because it counts a lot,” said Mr Duale.
