Uasin Gishu County assembly majority leader Josphat Loloi has cautioned national assembly majority leader Aden Duale against using the phrase ‘Mama Yako’.
Addressing the press at his office on Friday, the majority leader accused Duale of disrespecting motherhood by frequently using the phrase.
Loloi asked the Garissa MP to apologise to Kenyan mothers, saying that he has no right to disrespect women.
“I want to tell Duale to stop using the phrase ‘Mama Yako’, it disrespects our mothers,” said Loloi.
The assembly leader said that politicians must learn how to use the right language, urging the government to take action against Duale if he fails to stop.
Loloi urged the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to deal with such acts, saying they have a potential to disrupt peace.
