House National Assembly Majority Leader Hon Aden Duale on Sunday chaired the Abudwak Community Annual Meeting at Lantern Hotel, to streamline the political direction that they need to take.
The MP, who was accompanied with former Rtd. General Mohamud, Businessman Mzee MK Roble and Sultan Representative Dekow Maalim sought to strategise, as the August polls draw closer.
Over 1,000 delegates were in attendance including political leaders, businessmen, elders, senior civil servants, professionals, youths, women and religious leaders.
After the meeting, the MP posted on his Facebook account what they had agreed in that meeting and it included:
1. Amb. Siyat Osman to step down his candidature in favour of Aden Duale for the Garissa Township Constituency as Member of Parliament.
2. Ali Buno Korane is the sole Gubernatorial candidate for the Garissa County.
3. On Monday, they are launching the candidature of Hon. Abdi Omar Shurie in Mbalambala Constituency 2017.
4. Anab Gure is the sole candidate for Garissa Women Representative for 2017 election.
5. A committee should be formed to resolve the remaining outstanding issues in Fafi Constituency in the next two weeks to endorse one sole candidate.
6.The community will be in full support of the Jubilee party and it's leaders and that all the county leadership positions will be vied on the Jubilee party and none of our community members will support CORD as it spearheaded the removal of one of our own IEBC Chair, Issak Hassan.
7.We shall reach out to all other communities in the constituency and county to build unity, cohesiveness, peace and all inclusive county government and leadership.
