Speaking on Sunday in Eastleigh, Duale said that Miguna will be send his passport in Canada to facilitate his return after second dramatic deportation.

"Miguna is a Kenyan, I will do everything to ensure he comes back. Yes, Miguna is a Kenyan, he will be back. If Miguna continues to stay away, there are Kenyans who are not happy. We will send him a passport so he can be received at the airport, holds rallies in Kisumu and everywhere then he can seek a seat in 2022. Kenya should be one," said Duale.

The legislator became the latest high ranking government official to publicly come out strongly in defense of the Canadian based barrister.

Miguna found himself on the wrong side of the law when he was denied entry into the country over his nationality, with the government insisting he ceased being Kenyan when he took the Canadian citizenship.
