National Assembly Majority leader and Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has congratulated Hon. Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman.
Mursal was elected as the new speaker of the Somali Parliament.
The vocal MP noted that Hon. Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman served as the former Defence Minister before being elected as the speaker of Somali Governent.
Through a post on his Facebook page, Duale passed the following congratulatory message.
“Congratulations to Hon. Mohamed Mursal Abdirahmanfor being elected as the new speaker of the Somali Parliament,” noted Duale.
He wished well the incoming speaker of the Somali Parliament.
“We pray that he will steer the legislature function of representation, legislation and oversight for interest of the Somali citizens and work in complimentary with other arms of government while maintaining its independence,” further stated the majority leader.
