National Majority Leader Aden Duale has dared leaders of the opposition to boycott the fresh election. According to Kenyans.co.ke, Duale has challenged NASA Leader Raila Amolo Odinga, also former Prime Minister, not to take part in the exercise scheduled on 26th October.
This is after the leaders insisted that there will be no polls if their irreducible minimums are not met. Duale said that he is not surprised at the opposition because the leaders are repeating the same things they were doing before the August election date.
"The only way to measure the strength of a political party is through an election. They are saying the same things they said before the August 8 elections and now they don’t have a single MP in Kisii. I dare them to participate in the coming elections," Duale stated, as quoted by a local daily.
Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, Governor Oparanya, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi and Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi has said that they will not move up and down the country asking Kenyans to vote for NASA since the IEBC have not adhered to their demands.
"There is no point in participating in a poll whose outcome is predetermined," Muthama stated.
