Maalim has announced his intention to unseat the out-spoken MP who is a leader of Majority in the National Assembly.

Speaking to Journalists in Nairobi on Monday, Duale did not have kind words for his opponent saying he has no stand.

"I don't want to talk about someone who has no stand. You know he is being used by ODM to try and bring me down," he said.

"It is the people of Garissa Township to decide. I am the MP and they will still re-elect me. He is an ODM spanner boy who can't decide on his own," he posed, hurriedly leaving.

Maalim is currently the ODM disciplinary committee chairman and will lock horns with Duale in Garissa next year.

Farah will look to unseat Duale on an ODM ticket, while Duale will defend his seat on a Jubilee ticket.
