Leaders from both political divides have continued to eulogize the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze.
National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has described Nyenze as a true son of the soil. Duale, a Garissa MP said that Nyenze was committed to making Kenya a better place during his days in the political arena. He noted that the vocal lawmaker was ready to differ with anyone for the sake of this country."He was ready to differ with his political coalition on matters that were of Kenyan interest. He shelved personal and party interests for the sake of the country," said Duale, as quoted by Standard.Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, also the deceased’s party leader said that the death of the lawmaker is a big blow to the opposition and entire nation. He recalled his active days in political before he met his untimely death after a battle with cancer."In Kitui West, where he was immensely popular, he was nicknamed 'Shabiki' (fan), a term coined from the early years of his political career when he used to mobilize his political supporters, particularly the youth, using shabiki as his rallying call," said Kalonzo.
