National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has said that the war against graft in the nation has been infiltrated by hypocrites, charlatans and poachers who pretend to be game keepers.
Duale pointed out that there are certain leaders who pretend to be fighting this vice that has dragged the nation behind for years, yet they are the ones promoting the same.
Speaking in reference to the former Prime Minister and Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) Raila Odinga, Duale said that it unfortunate for his to lie to Kenyans that he is fighting corruption only to defend corrupt governors from his political side.
"When it comes to his associates, Raila suddenly detects a distinction between preliminary and final audit reports. It is sad indeed that the war on graft has been infiltrated by charlatans, hypocrites and poachers dressed as gamekeepers," Duale said, as quoted by the Star.
Duale also said that the former Premier will tolerate cases of corruption if he rises to power.
"His double standards spell doom for citizens in ODM-controlled counties. It is evident that Raila will not only condone corruption there but also spare no effort to defend those participating in it," he said.
