National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has explained how the the Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga unity deal will affect Deputy President William Ruto.
Ruto is widely expected to vie for the presidency on a the Jubilee ticket in 2022.
However, speculations have emerged that his ambitions might be cut short following the move by Raila to work together with President Uhuru in pushing for national unity.
Speaking on Wednesday during parliament session, Duale stated that the deal will not affect Jubilee party plans to have Deputy President William Ruto as its candidate for 2022 elections.
He made the remarks when lawmakers were debating the imapct of the deal between the two leaders.
Uhuru and Raila are expected to roll out a plan to implement their shared objectives.
