Vocal Jubilee Politician Aden Duale has fired back at COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli after accusing him of frustrating workers during the Labour Day celebrations.
“There are members of parliament who will stand with us, let Duale know that…Resolving workers issues are not to ask Duale to change the employment legislation. Instead of Duale coming up with legislation to curb rampant deaths in the gulf. Somebody tell that young man,” stated Atwoli during the labour day celebrations.
Duale noted that Atwoli was making uniformed and ignorant allegations regarding some bills in parliament.
“Today, I heard the Sec General COTU, my friend Atwoli making uninformed and ignorant allegations regarding some bills before parliament, in most uncouth manner, directed at certain Members of Parliament,” said Duale.
He added that COTU will be invited to discuss the Bills and noted that he expected Atwoli to make his case formal before the Committees and particularly why his organizations must continue to sit in the Boards of NHIF and NSS.
Duale further hit out at Atwoli accusing him of giving his views in public forums such as Labour Day Celebrations as opposed to formal ones.
“However more often than not, he chooses to give his views in public forums, such as labour days celebrations as opposed to formal one,” noted Duale.
