Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has rubbished claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party Jubilee is wooing Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi from the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Duale says that Mudavadi’s recent claim he has been approached by Jubilee party is a sympathetic tactic for him and NASA remain relevant.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Thursday, Duale said that Jubilee is not interested in Mudavadi or any other NASA principal.
He said that NASA is cooking tactics aimed at seeking public attention and sympathy.
“We are not interested in Mudavadi as he claims and he should stop giving false information that we are after him,” he said.
Duale stated that the ANC leader has nothing to offer and he can never be a target for the ruling government.
The MP asked NASA leaders to stop living in denial and accept the fact that Uhuru Kenyatta is the president and let their supporters move on.
“There is no need for them to continue torturing themselves and their supporters in the name of fighting for reforms when we have a government that was duly and legitimately elected,” he said.
Duale said that Jubilee’s will not be stopped by NASA’ propaganda tactics.
Last week Mudavadi who is also a principal in the National Super Alliance claimed that a section of Jubilee politicians have approached him asking him to drop NASA’s push for electoral reforms agenda.
Mudavadi said that he cannot abandon NASA stating that the journey to reforms the country in unstoppable.
There have been claims that Jubilee is seeking to ‘fish out’ Mudavadi and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka from NASA in efforts to weaken the alliance that is pushing for electoral reforms.
