Garissa Township Member of Parliament and National Assembly Leader of the Majority Aden Duale has hit out at teachers yet again.
According to Duale, the teachers have been concocting stories about the situation in Northern Kenya, saying that those stories don't tally with the situation on the ground.
''You can go to Garissa and ask the teachers if they are mistreated... Our own country wants to discriminate, the Kenya National Union of Teachers, teachers themselves want to concoct stories that are far-fetched and discriminate other children of this republic,'' Hon. Duale said.
The outspoken legislator was speaking today in the afternoon on a mainstream television station from his office in Parliament.
Northern Kenya is reeling from a teachers' crisis in the region.
He asked teachers to be considerate to the children from remote, disadvantaged areas and stop stereotyping the Somali community.
