The Garissa Township MP, Aden Duale held a rally at Suuq Mukdi market in Garissa on Sunday.
Duale hosted over 10, 000 different small scale business enterprises where he discussed various matters including the issue of harassment by county askaris, insecurity, and dumping of garbage in the town.
Among other issues discussed included the issuance of ID cards to the local residents, where he told them that over 5, 000 residents were to be given ID cards after the national government released them.
Duale also discussed the water crisis in the area, condemning the county government for failing in provision of water in the past seven months. He also said that the county government has been failing to pay power bills amounting to sh8 million, despite the national government providing sh 6 billion every year for electricity.
