Garissa legislator, Aden Duale on Friday held a dinner that brought together county professionals to a common cause.
Dentists, Nurses, Public Health officers and all other medical personalities joined the area legislator to discuss issues affecting the sector.
Speaking after the function, Duale stated that the county was headed to higher limits owing to the recommendations that the professionals resolved to initiate in the sector.
"We agreed on how to support professionals in career development and how to increase the number of students from the community who will be joining health institutions of higher learning," Duale said.
However, the legislator also challenged the Garissa County government to live up to its mandate and deliver to the residents who are yet to enjoy the fruits of devolution.
"I urge the county leadership to be accountable to the people and offer the services required under the devolved government. We want to see the fruits of devolution," he added.
In the past one week, Duale has engaged his constituents in a number of functions. Analysts say the move may be interpreted as a hunt for votes as general elections draw nearer each day.
