National assembly majority leader Aden Duale held an annual consultative meeting for public and private schools in celebrating the outstanding academic achievements in Garissa in both KCSE and KCPE 2016.

The Township constituency attained a mean score of 284.6 in last KCPE results and 6.7 in KCSE ranking the Township constituency the best in the county.

The majority leader stated that they have heavily invested in education sector in the county, which as a result has yielded great results.

“We have heavily invested in school infrastructure ranging from classrooms, laboratories, dormitories, libraries, administration blocks, bursaries and bough school buses,” stated he majority leader.

“The total investment is to tune of Sh100 Million from CDF kitty annually and we pay bursaries to the tune of Sh23 million,” added Duale.

He further added that the county has received over Sh40 million from the Ministry of Education infrastructure funding kitty.

He added that the working together of all stakeholders including teachers, parents, TSC Ministry IG education, CDF office and donors has greatly contributed to the education sector in the county.

“We are always proud of our teachers, parents and all stakeholders for being the best in the region and the country in KCPE and KCSE examination for last 8 years under my leadership,” further stated Duale.
