In an article written by the vocal Garissa Township in the Standard on Sunday, he attributed his election as Dujis MP then Garissa Township MP to his strength in leadership.

"While I admit I am not perfect, I must add that I have my strength too, which the people of Garissa Township saw when they overwhelmingly voted for me in 2013. The people of Dujis also saw my strength in 2007 and gave me an opportunity to serve them," he wrote.

"The electorate must have certainly seen leadership skills in me to elect me as a Member of Parliament twice," he added.

Duale told his haters to look at his good record as the National Assembly Majority leader before attacking his as an incompetent leader, adding that the legislative reforms he oversaw was testament to his success.

"Needless to say, I am the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, a position that demands extensive leadership skills and I can say without fear of contradiction that I have done a good job. You only need to look at Jubilee legislative record to confirm this," he added.
