National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale continued his campaigns to capture the Garissa Township parliamentary seat over the weekend, with different rallies in different areas of the county.
On Sunday, Duale addressed tuk tuk riders who are the Jubilee grassroots campaigners in Garissa Township, tasking them to campaign among their passengers, friends and neighbours in next 21 days.
This, according to Duale is to increase the turnout among Jubilee supporters of the 54000 plus registered voters.
He then addressed locals in Bulla Bura in Garissa Township earlier Monday morning, as he seeks to retain a seat he won in the 2013 elections.
Duale sold the Jubilee agenda to the locals, urging them to vote in the current government for another term.
According to Duale, Jubilee has done a lot in infrastructure as well as development of different projects in the county, and they deserve another term to complete the projects.
The vocal Jubilee leader will face stiff opposition in Farah Maalim, who will be vying on a Wiper Party ticket.
Maalim, a close ally of Raila Odinga has vowed to trounce Duale, who is one of the key leaders in the Jubilee government.
