Salat alleges that Duale is relying on some politicians to survive politically, adding that he would be nowhere were it not for the political god fathers.

“Duale is a political sycophant who cannot survive without his political god fathers,” he alleged during an interview on NTV on Tuesday.

The Kanu Secretary General at the same time hit out at Duale for allegedly disrespecting retired president Daniel Moi's family, adding that his move to criticize Baringo Senator Gideon Moi was uncalled for.

“Duale must have respect to his seniors and also mind his language,” he said.

The Garissa Township MP told off Gideon Moi during the burial of former MP Mark Too on Monday, saying that Deputy President William Ruto is the recognized Rift Valley political kingpin.

The National Assembly leader asked Moi to back DP Ruto since they did the same to his father retired President Daniel Moi.

“Gideon Moi, sisi tulibeba baba yako kwa mgongo. Sasa ni wakati wako kubeba DP Ruto kwa mgongo (We carried you father (retired President Moi) on our backs. It is now your turn to carry DP Ruto,” said Duale.

Duale, who showered praises on DP Ruto, urged locals to support Jubilee Party saying that the region will once again produce the president in the 2022 general elections.

Duale’s sentiments angered a section of Rift Valley leaders and elders who want him to apologize.
