The report tabled in Parliament on Thursday has elicited mixed reactions from MPS.
Majority leader, Aden Duale has lobbied members of parliament from the opposition to adopt the report.
Duale said that amending the IEBC reforms report would mean all the work put into the report would go to waste leave alone the taxpayers money that was used for the 30 day period when the parliamentary joint select committee worked on the report.
Wednesday saw Parliament dominated by passionate exchanges after Kisumu west member of parliament moved an amendment to the report throwing out a clause that curbs party-hopping.
The contentious clause reads that names of candidates forwarded to the independent electoral and boundaries commission candidates who change their party shall not be eligible to contest in elections as a candidate in an election as a candidate of the new party or as an independent candidate
The report shall be debated in the National Assembly on Thursday afternoon.
