Parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale has launched yet another criticism leveled against theCounty Governor Nathif Jama.
In a letter dated 27 of March and which was addressed to Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo, Duale argued out that as the representative of the Garissa electorate, he had noted with great concern that the reallocation of the county funds was ill-intentioned.
The Duale submission indicates that CoB's desk should issue an order barring the Garissa county government from doing any reallocation of the Sh347 million development funds to its recurrent expenditure.
MP Duale said the move was meant to ensure that all public resources within the county are handled in a manner that ensures quality services are rendered to all residents without favour.
“I sincerely hope that the matter shall be treated with utmost urgency and that all the relevant agencies shall swiftly move to conduct independent audit on all the underlying reasons," the letter read in part.
Duale's letter was also copied to the CS Henry Rotich, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Agency and the Commission''s CEO Halakhe Waqo together with the National Assembly’s Public Accounts and Investment Committee.
The two leaders have been on loggerheads especially on matters pertaining regional governance.
