Garissa Town MP Aden Duale says the ruling Jubilee party cannot lose an election to a ‘weak’ opposition coalition NASA.
The opposition team has since unveiled Raila Odinga as its flag bearer and will face President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
And the National Assembly Majority Leader claims that Odinga’s candidature will be a walkover for Jubilee adding that they would have fronted a ‘formidable’ candidate.
“I want to assure the nation that Jubilee cannot lose an election more so when it’s against a renowned loser in the name of Raila Odinga,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
The second term MP added: “They should have fronted someone else because Odinga cannot beat us and that is a face. We shall send him to political retire.”
Although he has claimed victory in the last two elections, Odinga confirmed that he will serve as one term president should he win in August.
Despite his active participation in national politics, Duale is facing stiff competition from former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim.
