In an opinion editorial published on the Sunday Standard, the Garissa Township member of Parliament downplayed reports by a section of politicians claiming that Jubilee Party will crash during the party's nominations.

"Doomsayers have predicted that Jubilee Party will implode during nominations for the party’s ticket. I want to categorically state here and now that, that will never happen," Duale noted.

"The new party is founded on a firm foundation of sound ideals and underpinned by democratic principles," he added.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, who are the party's party and Deputy party leaders respectively have previously indicated that the party's nominations will be free and fair, proposing the electoral body IEBC to conduct the Party primaries.
