National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale has urged local politicians to stop early 2022 campaigns.
Duale said politicians should give a chance to those who won during the August 8, 2017 polls to deliver services as by their campaign pledges so that they will not have fake excuses to the electorates in 2022.
"All local and national politicians in Kenya should stop early 2022 campaigns especially those seeking to replace already existing governors".
"It is not the time for politics but service delivery to the electorates. Local leaders should focus on helping those who won in the last year’s polls to serve the people of Kenya,” he said.
The country administration will support all Governors to ensure they perform as by their campaign promises to improve the lives of the people.
“As leaders we will not abandon our duties especially legislation of laws and passing of important Bills which will help transform the lives of the people across the County. Governors and their Deputies have our full support,” he assured.
He was speaking on Thursday st the National Assembly proceeding.
