Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has urged Kenyans to remain peaceful as they wait for poll results.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Garissa Library on Tuesday, Duale appealed to Kenyans not to be swayed to any for of violence by rogue politicians who don't value peace.

The National Assembly leader of Majority also urged citizens to go on with their duties and activities without fear.

He said that security has been enhanced across the country and that their is no need to fear.

"I am urging Kenyans to go to work on Wednesday and continue with their nation building activities even as they wait the IEBC to announce the poll results,'' he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Duale said that there is nothing for Kenyans to fear about adding that life has to normalise after the polls.

The MP at the same time exuded confidence of retaining the seat.

Duale said that Garissa people know the kind of leaders they want to serve them in the next five years.

Duale however said that he will concede defeat if he loses to his fiecest rival Farah Maalim.

The MP asked Maalim to concede defeat if he loses, adding that true democrasy is all about accepting the outcome and wishes of the people.

Duale is facing stiff competition in his re-election bid from Maalim who has vowed to floor him.

Maalim is eyeing the seat on Wiper party ticket.
