Committee members: Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, Nyali MP Awiti Bollo, John Kahangi of Naivasha, Omar Mwinyi of Changamwe and Lamu East MP Sheriff Athman blamed Aden Duale and speaker Justin Muturi for failing to present the land reports on the floor of the house for discussion.

The duo is said to be deliberately sitting on the crucial land reports generated by the departmental committee thus undermining its constitutional role.

“The leadership of the legislative house should explain to us why there are lots of delays. We used lots of taxpayer's money to get these investigative reports and we do not understand why it is now being sabotaged,” said Otuoma.

Otuoma says the two should explain to Kenyans why the over 10 reports submitted have not been brought for adoption or discussion, expressing fears that the report findings may eventually be doctored.

“We presented these land reports in the year 2015. We now want clear explanations when the house resumes from recess,” he added.

The committee members said land issues across the counties will remain unaddressed unless the report is deliberated upon.
