Duale who spoke during an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday last week said the looming formation of the super alliance cannot be compared to the Narc coalition that drove Kanu out of power in 2002.

"The formation of NASA cannot be compared to the coalition we had in 2002 because the Jubilee team is still intact and nobody significant has crossed to NASA," he said.

The Garissa Township MP insisted that the only addition to the coalition to NASA was Musalia Mudavadi, who according to him, does not add enough votes to the opposition.

He also added that Jubilee had made significant moves into the opposition strongholds and would gain more votes from the regions than they did in 2013.

"What the Cord team has added is Musalia Mudavadi with about 450,000 votes. What we had in 2002 is the critical members of Kanu leadership leaving the party and that can only be equated to me or DP William Ruto leaving Jubilee for NASA,"  he said.

"Our political strongholds are intact and we have made serious inroads into the opposition strongholds such as Western, Kisii and Coast regions," he added.
