Speaking at a peace forum convened in Garissa town for political leaders to declare peace ahead of the August poll, Duale said opposition leaders would never accept the truth that Jubilee had tremendously performed since it took over power in 2013.

He said Jubilee’s manifesto recently launched at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani clearly spells where Kenya will be in development terms at the end of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reign in 2022- in case he won the August election.

“The Jubilee administration has made great strides in the past four years and the country has been put on the social and economic take-off path.

Together we will achieve more,” Duale who is defending his parliamentary seat against former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim (Wiper) said.

Among Jubilee leaders who attended the peace meeting held at Garissa Town Social Hall was gubernatorial aspirant Ali Korane (Jubilee).

The peace conclave was held days after the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) announced the recruitment and training of officers who will be deployed in various parts of the country to record political rally speeches and report cases of hatemongering.

Garissa is among counties identified as election violence hotspots by the NCIC.

Duale challenged opposition leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto to show to Kenyans what they did when they served in government.
